Honorary Membership Awarding Ceremony


The Executive Council decided to hold the Awarding Ceremony of the Honorary Memberships early 2010. This event is to combine with a CPD seminar. Members appointed to the organizing committee are Suranga, Rajitha, Chinthaka and Prasad Dissanayake from Professional Development Subcommittee, and Nilmini, Anoma, Lalith, Sunanda, Nishantha, Hasitha, and Lalantha.
       Organisers are to identify an appropriate date for the event. The Executive Council expects active participation of all members in organizing the event. It also expect their valuable comments.

PROFESSIONAL AND ACADEMIC FRAMEWORK OF QUANTITY SURVEYING - QSAA 6th CPD


The 6th Continuing Professional Development Programme organized by QSAA was held on Friday 06th November 2009, at IQSSL College of Quantity Surveying, 108-110, Nawala Road, Narahenpita, Colombo 5. The resorce person was Mr. H. D Chandrasena [ARMIT(QS), FIQSSL, FRICS, FAIQS, AIArb (Aus) 1979] Chairman, Cost Consultancy Services (Pvt) Ltd and the Immediate Past President, Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka.

We are honoured to have had Mr. Chandrasena, one of the pioneer Quantity Surveyors in Sri Lanka, and we are indeed grateful to him for allocating few hours for us in his busy schedule.

We are also thankful to the staff of College of Quantity Surveying for their prompt and efficient arrangements despite our short notice.

The participants, without you there wouldn’t be such an event. Thank you all.
